Project partners meet in Dublin, Ireland

At the beginning of September 2024, we were thrilled to gather in Dublin, Ireland, for an inspiring and productive project meeting. Hosted by our wonderful partner, WeLearn, this gathering not only advanced our project’s goals but also gave us the chance to immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Ireland.
Progress on Key Intellectual Outputs
Our time together was spent sharing exciting developments on the project’s two core intellectual outputs:
1. Cultural Intelligence Training Programme for Youth Workers: This comprehensive training programme is designed to equip youth workers with essential skills to foster cultural awareness and tolerance, enabling them to guide young people in becoming culturally intelligent and empathetic global citizens.
2. Digital and Social Media Advocacy Toolkit: Aimed at empowering young people to advocate for cultural tolerance, this toolkit provides practical guidance on how to effectively use digital platforms and social media to raise awareness and drive change on issues of cultural diversity and inclusion.
These outputs are shaping up to be powerful resources, and we’re eager to continue building on this progress.
Exploring Ireland’s Cultural Heritage

Beyond our work sessions, we took the opportunity to explore Ireland’s deep and impactful history. A visit to the Jeanie Johnston ship offered us a poignant glimpse into the hardships endured by over a million Irish people during the Great Famine, many of whom emigrated in search of a better life. This experience was followed by a trip to the EPIC Irish Emigration Museum, where we learned about the incredible contributions Irish emigrants have made around the world, from politics to the arts.
These experiences not only enriched our understanding of Irish history but also served as a reminder of the importance of cultural exchange and the resilience of communities in the face of adversity.
Strengthening Our Cultural Bridges
Our time in Dublin was more than just productive—it deepened the connections between our team members, inspired new ideas, and reinforced the importance of our mission. “Cultural Bridges” aims to foster mutual respect and understanding across borders, and this meeting was a powerful step in that direction.
We left Dublin energized and excited for the next phases of our project. There’s still much to be done, but we’re confident that our collaborative efforts will make a meaningful impact in promoting cultural intelligence and tolerance across Europe.
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey!
